Compressed air in the laboratory

Space-saving compact compressed air systems for the laboratory

High-quality compressed air for a wide range of laboratory applications

Laboratories today are equipped with a variety of measuring devices, tools and instruments. They are used, among other things, for examinations and analyses, experiments and quality controls. Many applications require high-quality oil-free compressed air. Oil vapors can damage valves, obstruct nozzles, contaminate air or distort measurement results. Oil-free compressors are an advantage for reliable operation of instruments and measuring devices as well as reliable results. The SICOLAB point-of-use air compressor unit is particularly suitable for this purpose.

Your advantages at a glance

High quality & flexible
  • High quality, designed and made in Germany.
  • Scalable to the application, by selecting one of the many versions.
  • Flexible by design, featuring multiple outlets with quick-disconnect fittings.
Economical & low-maintenance
  • Low-maintenance compressor thanks to intelligent design, only the filter elements need to be replaced, that are placed within an easy reach even for the novice users.
  • Energy-efficient due to state-of-the-art components that also yields a long service life.
Quiet & user-friendly
  • It`s in the name - SIlent COmpressor for LABoratory: the models in this family are designed to be extremely quiet due to special sound insulation and meticulous system design.
  • Space-saving layout, designed as a true point-of-use compressed air source, that fits under the lab bench.
  • Easy to relocate with the built-in, fold-out handles and the institutional grade, non-marking wheels, out of which the two at the front swivel and breakable.

Optimal properties for use in the laboratory

Laboratories and facilities do not always have a centralized air compressor with a dedicated compressor room. Often, when the facility has a central compressed air system, the new instrument needs to be installed at a location, where there is no compressed air outlet available. In all these cases, if an air compressor unit has to be located in the immediate vicinity of the technicians, a very low-noise and compact unit is required. The SICOLAB “point-of-use” air compressor system offer the solution with its unique soundproof and low-vibration design. Thanks to its compact size, it will conveniently roll under the laboratory bench. The recessed, fold-out handles and the institutional grade, non-marking wheels make it easy to relocate between rooms, if needed.

The dry compressed air that is required for various applications,  is provided by Dürr Technik’s patented 3-in-1 membrane dryer, integrated inside the soundproof housing. Optionally, a fine filter with a 0.01 µm resolution is also available.

The SICOLAB “point-of-use” laboratory air compressor systems meet the ISO 8573-1 air quality standard up to the class of 1:3:1, which makes them ideal for delicate applications.

For over 40 years, Dürr Technik has specialized in supplying oil-free compressors for laboratory applicaitons. With the experience we built over the decades, Durr Technik is your competent partner to select the model that will properly work in your application and meets your requirements.
